After a few weeks hiatus due to winter weather, I decided to fly my DJI Spark. I started by charging the batteries, controller, and tablet. As expected, there were updates to be applied to the drone and controller. Don’t forget that you will need to install most updates to each battery as well. There were also software updates for my usual tablet. While I had no trouble with this process, I did not have any success getting the updated equipment to cooperate when I actually attempted to fly. After I gave up trying the tablet, I switched to using my phone and had no more equipment problems. I believe this is indicative of a software conflict on the table. I will try to identify it in a later post.
